Milwaukee M12 2475-20 vs Ryobi P737D: premium accuracy or better value?
Both are cordless bare tools that live or die by which battery platform you already own. The Milwaukee is around twice the price of the Ryobi, so the question is what that premium actually buys.
Note one limit in our data: on the larger-tire run the Milwaukee was tested on a 33-inch truck tire and the Ryobi on a 265/70R17, so those two figures are not directly comparable and we do not use them to pick a winner.

Inflation speed
On the like-for-like 225/65R17 top-up the Milwaukee is 25 seconds quicker (1 min 55 s against 2 min 20 s) and 45 seconds quicker from flat. That is a real but modest edge, and both are quick for cordless tools. Because CFM is almost identical — 0.6 against 0.57 — neither runs away with it on a bigger tire.
Gauge accuracy and noise
This is the Milwaukee’s category and the reason to pay more. Across 25 runs from 20 to 80 PSI it shut off within 0.5 PSI of the set point every time, and it was the quietest unit we measured at 80 dB. The Ryobi is very good here too at 0.5 PSI, just not quite as consistent.
Power, runtime and ownership
Runtime depends entirely on your packs: the Milwaukee managed five tires on a 4.0Ah and only three on a 2.0Ah, while the Ryobi did four tires on a 4.0Ah. The Milwaukee has no hose — the chuck is on the body — and no 12V car adapter in the box, so you are fully dependent on charged M12 packs. The Ryobi has a 20-inch hose and a far cheaper route into its ecosystem.
Which should you buy?
Milwaukee M12 2475-20 is the faster unit and Milwaukee M12 2475-20 has the more accurate gauge. Ryobi P737D 18V ONE+ is the cheaper of the two.
Buy the Milwaukee M12 2475-20 if you already own M12 batteries and precision is the thing you are missing. It is the most accurate, quietest and best-built inflator we have tested.
Buy the Ryobi P737D for value. You can enter the ONE+ platform with a battery and charger for less than the Milwaukee bare tool costs, and the accuracy penalty in practice is half a PSI.
