After three months of testing, that reputation holds: it is the most accurate, best-built portable inflator we have used, and its only real weakness is the cost of entering Milwaukee's battery ecosystem.
What you are paying for
The 2475-20 is a bare tool at around $99. Add an M12 battery and charger if you do not own them, and you are looking at $150 or more. That is three to four times the price of a competent 12V inflator such as the AstroAI.
What that money buys is precision and durability. The digital gauge reads in 0.5 PSI steps, the auto shut-off is exact, and the tool is small enough at 3.2 lb with a 4.0Ah pack to live in a door pocket rather than a trunk.

The gauge result is the standout. Every one of our 25 test runs stopped within half a pound of the target, and the display agreed with our reference gauge every time. If you maintain tires to an exact specification — towing, track days, or a car with sensitive TPMS thresholds — this is the tool that removes the doubt.

Build quality and ownership
Milwaukee's build quality is obvious the moment you pick it up. The overmoulded housing, the metal chuck thread and the rubberised base all suggest a tool designed to be used hard. After 40-plus inflation cycles, our unit shows no hose wear, no chuck leakage and no gauge drift.
Two practical notes. There is no hose — the chuck mounts directly on the body — so reaching a valve on a deep-wheel truck requires you to hold the tool against the wheel rather than stand beside it. And there is no 12V car adapter in the box, so you are completely dependent on charged M12 batteries.
In cold weather the pack is the limit rather than the tool. At 26°F a 4.0Ah battery managed four tires from 28 to 36 PSI instead of five, and the display dimmed slightly under load. It never shut down mid-tire.
Where it falls short
Price and battery dependency. Against the Ryobi P737D, the Milwaukee is more accurate and better built, but the Ryobi is faster on large tires, uses cheaper batteries and is far better value if you are not already on M12. And for pure air-moving speed on a flat tire, nothing cordless beats a battery-clamp unit like the VIAIR 88P.

If you own M12 batteries and want an inflator you can trust to hit an exact pressure, this is the best answer on the market.
