Best budget tire pressure gauges under $20
This is the cheapest useful tool in the garage. The question is not whether a $10 gauge works — it is what you give up against a $60 one, and whether that matters for how you use it.

What matters here
What under $20 buys
A pencil gauge and a basic dial. Both read pressure; neither is likely to state an accuracy figure. For a glovebox cross-check, that is a fair trade, and a cheap gauge you actually carry beats an accurate one at home.
What it gives up
A stated accuracy, mostly. Of the fourteen gauges in our set, only one publishes a numeric figure at all, and it is not the cheapest. Below $20 you are also unlikely to get a bleed valve, which is the feature that lets you settle on a pressure instead of approximating it.
How to use a cheap gauge well
Use it consistently on the same vehicle, so that a slow leak shows up as a change rather than as noise between two differently calibrated tools. If you want to set pressure precisely, put the money into one good gauge and use the cheap one as the second opinion.
Frequently asked
Are cheap tire pressure gauges accurate?
They can be consistent without being certified. A cheap gauge used on the same vehicle will reveal a leak; it should not be the only tool you trust for setting an exact pressure.
What is the cheapest gauge worth buying?
A pencil gauge costs about as little as a gauge can. The listings in this set start under $3, which is genuinely useful as a second gauge rather than as a primary one.
