The easiest inflator to recommend for everyday drivers: set the pressure, press start and walk away. It is slower and less rugged than a VIAIR, but the convenience per dollar is unmatched.

You give up duty cycle before you give up speed. Budget units reach respectable PSI, but they are the ones most likely to need a cooldown partway through a second or third tire. For a monthly driveway top-up that never matters; for four tires from trail pressure it does.
You may give up gauge accuracy. An on-board gauge that reads a couple of pounds high is common at every price, but the cheap end is where it is least likely to be corrected. Budget for a separate gauge, which costs little and fixes the largest single source of error.
You give up build materials. Plastic housings, shorter hoses and lighter-duty fittings are the visible difference. Kept in a trunk and used occasionally, that is a fair trade. Left in the sun and dropped on concrete, it is not.
You do not give up safety. A slow, hot inflator will still inflate a tire. It becomes a problem when it overheats unnoticed or when a brittle hose fails at the worst moment — which is why we still recommend reading the cons before the price.
