Material updates to the catalog, redirects, and trust pages. Factual corrections also land here after we fix the shared dataset. Status claims on this page are meant to be verifiable — if a redirect is only queued in the repo, we say so.
2026-10-30 — Audit remediation — honest redirects, gear UX, calculator CSS
- Homepage “Cordless kits” chip now points at the live RV/trailer pillar (/guides/best-rv-trailer-tire-inflators/), not the retired cordless slug.
- Legacy URL map lives in lib/legacy-redirects.json, is mirrored in shared/nginx/site-01-pumpgauge.conf for HTTP 301, and is also written as static HTML stubs under public/ so old paths do not soft-404 before nginx is reloaded.
- Gear catalog: brand sanitization (LRM / “Brand:” prefixes / AstroAI aliases), tokenized search, type + sort filters.
- Restored tire-pressure calculator CSS so result metrics no longer run together as one line.
- Organization sameAs + methodology source citations; empty author profiles stay out of the sitemap until they have public articles; implausible gauge weights in compare tables corrected to n/a.
- Changelog no longer claims nginx 301s are live until the map is installed and verified — see Redirect map below for the intended source → target pairs.
2026-10-29 — Static Next.js relaunch
- Migrated from the previous WordPress-era URL set to a guides / compare / gear / calculator information architecture.
- Initial affiliate disclosure, Product/Article schema, and PSI calculator shipped with the new skin.

Full map: 62 exact paths in lib/legacy-redirects.json, plus catch-alls for leftover /for/*, /reviews/*, /products/*, /brands/*, and /search/*. Production should answer these with HTTP 301 after nginx install; until then, static HTML stubs under the same paths perform a client redirect. Sample:
